About me
I’ve always been interested in drawing, painting, creating. But it wasn’t until my mom bought a Nikon D60 that I was introduced to photography. It was a kit complete with an 18-55mm lens, a 55-200mm lens and a camera bag. At the time I was about 12 years old, taking way too many photos of zoo animals, flowers and my beagle Mia. Though it was hers, I managed to always get my hands on it to mess around with the shutter and aperture settings (it wasn’t until much later that I learned the magic of ISO). It was finally around the time I began my undergrad at Texas Christian University when she officially handed it down to me (about time!).
With a few months of free time after graduating from TCU, I decided the best way to spend my time was with a 9-week long road trip around the US and Canada. During my last semester at TCU I spent months of planning, coordinating with friends and family, wilderness permits, campsite and hostel reservations, and packing gear for nearly every kind of environment. From snowy passes in Alberta and rainy Pacific Northwest coastline to the granite peaks of the Sierras and unbelievable heat of Death Valley. My goal for the trip was not only to experience as much of the beauty of the West as a could, but to also grow as a photographer, and traveler.

Born in Hawaii, raised in San Antonio, with summers frequently spent in Southern California, it’s safe to say I’ve lived most of my life in the heat. So my recent move to the Pacific Northwest has been a dramatic but welcome change of environment. I look forward to the years ahead of exploring, challenging myself, and growing not only as a photographer but as a person sharing and appreciating this amazing world ready to explore.
